The Fleet Officer will manage and oversee the daily operations of the company’s vehicle fleet. The role involves coordinating vehicle maintenance, scheduling, and tracking to ensure optimal performance and compliance with transport regulations, while supporting logistics efficiency for a reputable FMCG organization.
Monitor and manage the deployment and scheduling of fleet vehicles.
Ensure timely maintenance, repairs, and servicing of vehicles to minimize downtime.
Track fuel consumption, mileage, and vehicle performance metrics.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle documentation, insurance, registration, and compliance reports.
Liaise with vendors and third-party service providers for vehicle-related services.
Implement and enforce fleet safety and operational policies.
Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, or vehicle-related issues.
Monitor driver behavior and provide support or disciplinary action when needed.
Optimize routes and transport logistics to improve efficiency and cost savings.
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
3–5 years of proven experience in fleet management or transport logistics.
Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, compliance, and operations.
Familiarity with fleet tracking software and transport documentation.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Ikeja, Lagos.
