The Pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications, providing patient counseling, and collaborating with healthcare providers to deliver optimal patient care. The role involves maintaining compliance with legal, ethical, and safety standards while managing inventory and staying updated on pharmaceutical developments.
Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently based on doctors’ orders.
Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure safety, appropriateness, and optimal drug therapy.
Provide patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and storage.
Maintain accurate records of dispensed medications, inventory, and patient profiles.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure the best patient care and resolve any potential drug-related issues.
Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and safety guidelines in all pharmaceutical practices.
Manage inventory and place orders to maintain adequate medication stock levels.
Stay updated on new pharmaceutical developments and industry regulations.
Bachelor’s or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy (BPharm or PharmD).
Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a clinical, retail, or hospital pharmacy setting.
Strong knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and other regulatory guidelines (e.g., NAFDAC, SON, or relevant authorities).
Possess a valid pharmacy license.
In-depth knowledge of pharmacological practices and drug interactions.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Team-oriented with a commitment to patient safety and well-being.
Proficiency in using pharmacy management software.
