The Account Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing day-to-day accounting tasks, and supporting financial planning and analysis for a reputable FMCG company. This role ensures compliance with internal and external financial regulations while helping to drive the company’s financial health and operational efficiency.
Record and maintain daily financial transactions and update ledgers.
Prepare financial reports including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial documentation.
Monitor accounts payable and receivable processes.
Support internal and external audits by providing relevant documents and explanations.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
Use accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Excel) to manage financial data efficiently.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in an accounting role, preferably within the FMCG sector.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and advanced Excel skills.
Strong analytical, organizational, and numerical skills.
Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Ikeja, Lagos.
